“Natural Selection,” brings to life our shared childhood dreams of adventures and romance. It is being developed into a blockbuster feature film centered on a compelling Filipina heroine who falls in love with the famed naturalist Charles Darwin.
Purpose
Our inspiration grew from a hunger to see more films that blend genre entertainment with cultural specificity, informed largely by co writer Isabelle Van Vleet’s own Filipino-American cultural background. This film represents a creative challenge we are passionate about – exploring how to heighten cinematic escapism through character-driven stories grounded in real history and culture. We hope “Natural Selection” inspires Filipino filmmakers and youth worldwide while engaging cross-genre fans of all backgrounds.
